Many can agree our health insurance system is broken. President Trump has prepared an executive statement of his intent to repeal the broken health insurance system. There key components the repeal is focused on eliminating the health insurance tax, Cadillac tax, and the medical device tax. Removing this items from the health insurance industry would reduce the amount we pay as consumers for health insurance. During the President's campaign he mentioned expanding health savings and flexible savings accounts. It is still unclear about the pre-existing conditions exclusion.
Purchasing Nevada auto insurance can seem like a quick and easy process, because auto insurance can purchased online without the help of a local agent. Think about the picture above, imagine that was you. The driver behind you only has minimum insurance, and you are unsure what you have. Both cars contain a significant amount of damage.
Is the red car liable or is the grey car liable. In Nevada an accident is based on contributory negligence, to determine who is at fault one must first determine which driver contributed the most to the cause of the accident.
The minimum limits in Nevada is $15,000 per person, $30,000 per accident, and $10,000 for property damage. This is also known as 15/30/10. Lets say the 2nd driver was not paying attention and ran into the 1st driver while he was parked. Now the 1st driver has an injury to his back and unable to stand for long periods of time.
The 1st drivers car needs to be repaired, and because of his back injury he is unable to work. Who will pay for his lost wages, and the cost to repair his vehicle?
The 2nd drivers insurance will pay the 15/30/10 (example) meaning since there is only one injured party the most he will receive is $15,000 for his injuries, and $15,000 to repair his vehicle. Again the most he will receive under this policy is $30,000.
In Nevada if you do not own any property or have significant assets Insurance Group of Nevada recommends a minimum of 25/50/25. Instead of $30,000 the limits would be increased to $50,000. The price difference to upgrade to this level of coverage is approximately $25-$35 additional per month.
The next posting will explain UI/UM coverage in Nevada.
The goal is to reach the observation building located at the top of the mountain. Which way would you take? Both roads will lead to the same target. One way is very treacherous and dangerous while the other is a longer journey but safe. In life we sometimes take the easy way out by justifying our actions.
The person who would choose to go left through the rugged path is someone who embraces life looking for short cuts. The person who would choose to go right on a longer journey but a safer road is someone who plans there actions before acting upon them.
Life is filled with challenging obstacles but those that plan to overcome those challenges have an easier time navigating life and doing the things they enjoy.
Insurance planning is much like the picture above, some purchase insurance through an online website while other require a licensed agent to advise and recommend based on there knowledge and expertise. You wouldn't climb the mountain through a treacherous rugged path then why would you purchase insurance solely through an online website.
